Description

Because you all showed so much enthusiasm for it--

The surprise I mentioned in my journal? This is it! Well, part one, most likely. X)

Now, before they get lost in the monster of a description below...

During our vacation when my family and I were staying at Big Sky, Montana, I noticed a poster for this place called the Grizzly Discovery Center located in West Yellowstone while we were shopping in Bozeman. Of course I hadddd to go! Live wolves? Like I'd miss a chance to see them. So the next day we went there with my grandma who drove to Big Sky from Billings. It was already the afternoon when we got there, so all the wolves were sleeping (see top picture). The next day we got there in the morning, and the wolves were much more active! It was totally awesome. I could have stayed there all day. :P

About the wolves: You see that really big one with the black markings on its face? All this time I was thinking it was their alpha male, but no! She's actually the alpha female. :lmao: Sorry, miss! There are four wolves in this pack, and the rest are males. I'm not sure who's who because the pictures on the website of them were all taken in the wintertime, and they're all a lot more fluffy. X)
Learn more about them here! [link]

Anyway, I'd planned to give you guys more photos, but I don't want to give you all of my good ones. ;P So once I've gone through them again and have put my favorites on ~PhoenixPhotography67, I'll probably upload something like this again.

Seeing these wolves was a really incredible experience. If you get the chance to go to a zoo or a wildlife preserve, I highly recommend that you don't miss it! Go there!! Many tutorials here on dA tell you to make your characters unique beyond marking differences. Well, that's easier said than done. But seeing them in front of your face walking and moving around and even interacting with each other puts it all into perspective. It's truly eye-opening.

You know a cool animal I've once seen at the San Diego Zoo? A striped hyena. You should go to that Zoo when you have a chance. You might also get to see baby pandas (I did =P)
Anyways you should draw a striped hyena XP
